I grew up in a 1940s house in South Dallas. I can still remember the walls sweating with moisture and watching my mother scrape and bleach mold from them. She worked hard to keep our home clean and our family healthy, using the products and information available to her at the time.
She was doing the best she knew how. And the truth is, we simply did not know what we did not know.
As I got older, those memories took on a different meaning. I began wondering about the things we were exposed to every day, the food we ate, the products we used, and how our surroundings and habits might affect our well-being.
The more I learned, the more I realized how overwhelming health information can be. There are so many opinions, recommendations, and products competing for our attention. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin.
That’s one of the reasons I created Trust in Wellness. I wanted a place where women could find helpful information in everyday language, explore practical ways to care for themselves, and feel more confident asking questions about their health.
I’m not here to tell you that there’s one perfect way to be healthy. I believe in learning, making thoughtful choices, and finding what works for your own life, alongside the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals.
Most of all, I believe your voice deserves to be part of every health decision.
Your wellness. Your pace.
