Why Trust in Wellness Exists

As a child, I was constantly sick with migraine headaches, head colds, bouts of bronchitis, and even pneumonia. I grew up in a small 1940s home on the south side of Dallas, Texas. There was no insulation in the walls, and in the fall and winter they would sweat. That constant moisture allowed black mold to creep up the corners of the walls and around the windows.

My mom did her best, scraping, bleaching, and trying to keep the mold at bay, mostly because it looked ugly and felt unhealthy, not realizing the deeper damage it could cause. Back then, information was hard to find. There were no podcasts, no internet, and doctors never asked about our home environment, nutrition, or sleep. We simply did not know what we did not know.

Over time, I began to understand how exposure to things like mold, harsh cleaners, a poor diet and everyday chemicals can leave lasting effects such as fatigue, inflammation, allergies, hormone shifts, and even changes in mood. Most people never connect these symptoms to the spaces they live in and the food they are eating but it’s clear our lifestyle and environment quietly shapes our well being.

Those early experiences sparked a lifelong curiosity about how our surroundings, food, chemical exposure, and how daily habits shape our health. I also learned something just as important. Taking ownership of your health matters. Learning to ask questions, to educate yourself, and to become an advocate for your own well being can truly change the course of your life. No one knows your body better than you do, and your voice deserves to be part of every health decision you make.

Our modern systems often focus on managing symptoms rather than supporting long term wellness. True health takes awareness, daily choices, and a willingness to look beyond quick fixes. When we begin caring for our bodies in deeper, more intentional ways, we step into a more empowered role in our own lives.

Trust in Wellness grew from that journey. It became a place to share practical guidance, credible insights, and a sense of hope that better health is always possible through small, consistent changes.

As my own path continued, I realized wellness does not stop with meals or routines. The products we bring into our homes and use on our bodies every day matter too. I also discovered how powerful it is when women support one another in making healthier choices, sharing what they learn, and building community around living well.

For some, this remains focused on simple habits and nourishing routines. For others, it grows into supporting friends and family on their wellness journeys, and even creating an additional stream of income by sharing tools that help others feel better. I believe wellness is stronger when it is shared, and when community becomes part of the process.

Trust in Wellness is here to offer steady guidance, realistic support, and encouragement, whether you are just beginning or ready to explore deeper ways to care for your health and the people around you.
